"Every government is run by liars and nothing they say should be believed." (Swans - August 16, 2004) Governments obviously have numerous plans that they are reluctant to disclose; thus, they must create some justification to pursue those plans without disclosing their motives. Creating and Building the Zionist State Theodore Herzl's dream envisioned the existence of a Jewish state that would eradicate the dangers of anti-Semitism by providing a safe haven for the endangered Diaspora Jews. Since that vision was based on anti-Semitism the Zionists realized that anti-Semites were the key to their primary goal, the creation and the building of the Jewish state. Accordingly, they collaborated with anti-Semitic leaders who wanted to rid the Jews from their own countries. (1) Zionists knew that this close association had to be suppressed if they were to maintain their credibility The State Supersedes All Else Fear of anti-Semitism is a tool the Zionists employ to populate their state. Other factors will arise from time to time but those factors can not take precedence over the primary goal of building the state. Instead of being the saviors they claim to be, the Zionists are willing to sacrifice Jews if it furthers their primary goal. David Ben-Gurion stated in December 1938 a month after Kristallnacht, "If I knew it was possible to save all (Jewish) children of Germany by their transfer to England and only half of them by transferring them to Eretz Yisrael, I would choose the latter -- because we are faced not only with the accounting of these (Jewish) children but also with the historical accounting of the Jewish People." (2) Clandestine activities by nations to advance their interests at the expense of allies or even some of their own subjects are not unusual; and all nations are guilty of such offenses. Those activities are conducted with the greatest care to prevent discovery of the nefarious plots. Scandalous Disclosures Some disgraceful Israeli activities have been exposed where Jews, who trusted that government, were sacrificed. The sensational Kastner trial of the 1950s disclosed a shocking collaboration of a Zionist representative with the Nazis. Kastner's negotiations with Adolf Eichmann to save Hungarian Jewry from the death camps were unsuccessful. Nevertheless, he was able to obtain the release of 1685 Jews including many of his relatives and friends by betraying hundreds of thousands who went to their deaths in Auschwitz. (3) The Lavon affair involved an Israeli plot to damage the relations of the Egyptians with the Americans and the British. Nasser was expected to be the fall guy for the bombings of American and British installations but the plot failed when the perpetrators were caught. Who were they? Israeli and Egyptian Jews! The ensuing scandal brought down the government of David Ben-Gurion. (4) Naeim Giladi, an Iraqi Jew who joined the Zionist underground, has written a book to expose all the misdeeds he became aware of. (5) The alleged anti-Semitism in Iraq that frightened and thereby enticed emigrants to Israel was a con job. He states that "the terrible truth is that the grenades that killed and maimed Iraqi Jews and damaged their property were thrown by Zionist Jews." Recent Anti-Semitic Charges Ariel Sharon recently encouraged French Jews to escape the "wildest anti-Semitism . . . Move to Israel as early as possible." The prompt reaction in France from Chirac, Jewish leaders, the media, and just about every prominent voice denounced Sharon and his remarks. (6) Why would Sharon make such a rash statement? Didn't he realize that it would cause a furor and generate media coverage? Was it an attempt to hoodwink a target population to secure a demographic gain? Two hundred fearful French Jews quickly made aliyah to Israel. Sharon greeted their arrival in Israel by appealing to Jews throughout the world to come to Israel. (7) Anti-Semitic Attitudes in Europe Is anti-Semitism as threatening as he claims? If it is, who is responsible for its spread? The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) commissioned a study to assess anti-Semitic attitudes in ten European countries -- Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, The Netherlands, and the United Kingdom. (8) The results for 2004 were compared with those in 2002, a year when violent anti-Semitic acts occurred across Europe. The findings show that only in The Netherlands, which had the lowest anti-Semitism score in both years, was there an increase. All other countries showed decreases. The study also compared the respondents' attitudes towards the state of Israel. This portion of the study indicated that only one country, Austria, looked upon the state of Israel more favorably in 2004 than in 2002. Anemic Immigration From its earliest days most Jews rejected the Zionist panacea. Although the shock of the Holocaust provided sympathetic support from Diaspora Jews the world over it did not translate into aliyah. Jews displaced by World War II were invariably dispatched to the Holy Land. In many cases it was not the immigrants' first choice for their new home; when they had the chance, many left for other countries. Fifty-five years have passed since the state was created and only 37 percent of Jews have opted for the Zionist solution. Hush-hush is the sizable number of Israelis who have moved to other countries. The Zionist dream of an amply-populated Jewish state has not panned out. Sharon's Population Plans Sharon, like all Zionists, is anxious to increase the population. An interview he gave in November 2001 revealed his plans to bring one million Jews to Israel. But that will be extremely difficult. The ten years of the '90s, a fruitful period, brought almost 1 million to the country. Most came from the just-collapsed former Soviet Union, an area loaded with likely prospects, and some of those arrivals were not Jewish. To gain that other million will be an extremely difficult task. There are no longer areas where Jews are anxious to relocate as there were in the Soviet Union. Diaspora Jews must be frightened. France, the western European country with the most Jews, is the most logical country for the initial pitch. Creating Fear Isn't it prudent, knowing that governments lie, to be a little skeptical of their actions? Couldn't analysis of their possible motivations reveal their real intentions? Sharon has stated that he is aiming for a one million population increase. That's a very tall order. Is it unreasonable to assume that skullduggery might be employed to goose up the anti-Semitic attacks? The Israelis did it before in Iraq -- with success. The Church committee uncovered ample evidence that even the FBI resorted to such tactics. It would infiltrate various opposition groups and instigate acts of violence to place those groups in disrepute. (9) Conclusion Sharon's innumerable war crimes against the innocent and weak Palestinians have not subdued them. A world that was pro-Israel for many years is now sympathizing with its victims. Sharon's policies are even losing support from his strongest constituency -- the Israelis and the Diaspora Jews. An entrenched and growing Palestinian presence; unpromising immigration prospects; and diminishing public support -- what does that add up to? · · · · · ·
