Tiger

A Poem by Sandy Lulay

Will you dance with me
When the tiger comes...
Stay to hear it purr;
Unbound, alive, and free?

And will you

Stay to feel the rain's caress,
To smell the scent
Of New World Clover...
To taste its honey

Touching you,
Touching me.

We have endured the wars,
The prophets, and the politicians.
All that's left
Is the rising dust and us.

But...

Say yes
When the tiger comes,
Say yes
Only.. for love.
