Without You

by Michael Eddins

Poetry

(Swans - December 1, 2008)

Without you
My bones are fire
and my heat is ice
My chest aches
and my eyes bleed tears
My soul is crushed
and my mind, shattered
My nights are sleepless
and my dreams, only nightmares
I need you to put out the fire
and melt the tightening ice
I need you to wipe away my tears
and free my soul from anguish
Without you
I am lost
