Poetry
(Swans - November 16, 2009)
Outside the world moves, yielding only to the moon and stars
Here in your room, the only thing that matters in the whole universe is you
You're all that is
All that I feel
All that I dream
All that I need
Forever and always, I am yours
It's snowing and we're kissing in a doorway
The people in the apartment across the street are watching us
I want to propose to you
You're everything to me
All I want is to hold you
All I want is to make you happy
All I want is to love you forever
Caught in an undertow
Of timing and circumstances
We break apart
I feel helpless and
Like sand through my fingers
Watch it all fall away
Now the flowers are faded and everyone I meet isn't you
