(Swans - December 2, 2013)
in the beginning only a word
that recalls what isn't
the lands were alone
les terres étaient seules
las tierras estaban solas
and darkness enveloped in the abyss face
and light runs through darkness
et la lumière va à travers l'obscurité
but darkness doesn't understand
las tiniblas no entienden
and here's the spirit over bottom waters —
spirit searches out all, even divine depths
but it's the same spirit
that's interceding for the world,
with inexpressible sighs
gemidos indecibles
gemidos que no se pueden expresar
