guido:
"por qué me has abandonado?"
we're as prisoners, yes,
but along thoughts of heavens...
and time, rio do tempo,
remembers me
that the clue moment
still has to return
ainda esteja por acontecer
escuridão,
dans la nostalgie d'un passé lointain
and stars again
Vita:
Dust and breath
nothing else
not a soul
triste cœur
words of mad
ventre affamé
not to be, not to be
time again, time again
I return to the island
The promised land
through the sea in a pond
I will sail to Home
to return to the Is
through the back of my eye
loin loin
"perch'i' no spero di tornar giammai"
and scintilla again
Vita Fabbro is an Italian writer who presently lives in Belfast. "Triste cœur" and "ventre affamé" are words of Villon (Le Testament), "not a soul" is of Shakespeare (The Tempest), then Guido Cavalcanti, "perch'i' no spero di tornar giammai" ("because I don't hope to turn again").
